YOLANDA DORDA   Yolanda Dorda born in Barcelona, Yolanda Dorda grew up in A Coruña. She has always been linked, in one way or another, to art, which led her to begin her artistic studies at the Pablo Picasso School of Art, opting for sculpture as a specialization. It was in London that painting became her main means of expression. It was there that she came into contact with English painters and expressionism, and their influence was clear in her works. In her canvases you can appreciate a certain cosmopolitanism that comes from her English experience, but also from her time in New York, Barcelona and Slovenia, connecting with the artistic environment of these cities. Since its inception, in addition to her artistic residencies, Dorda has participated in numerous meetings of artists, being selected for workshops organized by the MACUF, and also by the CIEC Foundation. Furthermore, she has won numerous awards in many art competitions, and her work can be found in some important collections and institutions.
