EMILIE STEELE   Emilie Steele is a multidisciplinary artist working in Halland, Sweden. Steele studied fashion and design at the Beckmanns School of Design, metal arts at Nyckelviksskolan as well as art and craft at Konstfack University of Arts. Her diverse interests are reflected in her interdisciplinary artistic approach, which combines components of fine arts, craftsmanship, design and fashion. Emilie Steele creates detailed sculptural as well as illustrated pieces  with the intention ofquestioning constructed ideas about human condition while also challenging social conceptions of beauty. Besides recurring topics with dark connotations such as states of captivity and liberation, the artist creates dreamy and playful scenes with focus on material and color - always however with a hue of bittersweetness present.
